HouseCanary Launches New York Office with Hire of Former Morgan Stanley Home Mortgage COO, Mark Washburn

HouseCanary is thrilled to announce the launch of its New York office with the hire of senior client director, Mark Washburn. Washburn joins HouseCanary from Morgan Stanley, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer of the company’s home mortgage division. Previously, he held senior positions at Credit Suisse, UBS, and ADP.

"We knew that we would eventually need to build a client-facing presence in New York," said Mike Greene, VP of Sales at HouseCanary. "The confluence of rapidly accelerating growth within the financial services sector and the rare chance to work with someone of Mark's caliber made this a uniquely opportune time to do so.”

Why HouseCanary? “This role was a good fit for the technology work I’ve done in the past, and I also have an understanding of mortgage loan origination and servicing,” Washburn explained. He’ll be creating awareness of HouseCanary and increasing adoption of HouseCanary tools and products as “the de-facto standard for residential real estate analytics,” he said.

“We couldn’t be happier to bring Mark Washburn on board as our new client director,” said Jeremy Sicklick, founder and CEO at HouseCanary. “His deep experience with banking and mortgage lending, and the fact that he also has deep experience with technology and vendor operations, makes him an incredible asset to the company.”

“HouseCanary is a dynamic company working on some very interesting things, and doing it better than I’ve seen other companies do it,” Washburn noted. “It’s always interesting to be part of a company that’s growing rapidly, and to work at a fun place with smart people.”
